GOT TECHNICAL QUESTIONS? WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!
Technical Support Guide
Before you bring the movie magic to your audience, ensure you have these essentials:
-
A stable Internet connection
-
A desktop or laptop for streaming
-
Alternatively, a mobile phone or tablet
Fearless Features promises crystal-clear streaming quality, but remember, the smoothness of your stream hinges on two factors: your internet speed and your venue's projection setup. We recommend an Internet speed of at least 20 Mbps for uninterrupted viewing.
We'll email the movie link a week before your event, permitting time for a thorough test run. This file is secured on an encrypted site for your viewing. Our platform affords the flexibility to pause for an intermission, and you'll have control over playback features like start, stop, rewind, and pause, putting you in full command.
Internet Speed Test Protocol
-
Your internet "download speed" is crucial for broadcasting. Ensure your connection reliably supports at least 20 Mbps. To verify, head to www.speedtest.net, initiate the test, and observe your speed.
Network Limitations
-
We strongly suggest limiting network access to solely the computer streaming the movie. Aim for a dedicated internet line for that device to stream smoothly.
Close Unnecessary Applications
-
To avoid any streaming disruptions, ensure no other applications (like virus scans, updates, or backups) are running on your computer during the event.
Projector and Resolution Sync
-
Match your projector's resolution with your computer's to ensure full-screen display. Connect your computer to the projector, power on the computer, and then the projector to auto-detect the resolution.
Repeat Testing
-
Our platform continuously improves for optimum content delivery. Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned host or a newcomer, testing prior to your event is essential. With the movie sent a week in advance, you've got ample time for multiple test runs.
Browser Recommendations
-
For streaming your event, Google Chrome is the recommended browser (https://www.google.com/chrome/).
-
Mac OS users might prefer Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/enUS/firefox/new/), while Windows 10 users could opt for Edge (https://microsoftedge.en.softonic.com/).
-
Nevertheless, installing and testing with both Google Chrome and an alternative browser is wise, keeping a backup ready for the day of your event.
Experiencing a black screen with spinning ball?
-
Confirm you're using the recommended internet browser for your operating system.
-
Connect through a wired internet connection for stability.
-
Ensure your streaming device isn't competing for bandwidth on your network.
-
Restart both your computer and internet router for a fresh connection.
No sound during your event?
-
Verify the video player's mute option isn’t activated. This button is located next to the time display and the full-screen toggle.
-
If the issue persists, log out of the streaming platform and log back in.
Switching to full-screen view?
-
Look for the full-screen icon beneath the video player, typically represented by two diagonal arrows. Clicking this will expand your video to full screen.
